Data DevOps Engineer

As the future-proof Data DevOps Engineer you will contribute to making KPN a fully data-driven company. The Data & AI Office (DAO) is part of the Technology and Digital Office (TDO) within KPN and is responsible for enabling a digital, data-driven KPN. You will work in a multidisciplinary team on insights that bring value to improve the digital experience. The vacancy is in the data team responsible for all data coming from the KPN TV Platform. At the moment this runs on a dedicated technology stack; later this year the team will start migrating to the new Nexora platform — so we are looking for someone who has knowledge of both the current and the new technology. Note: Monday is an office day.

• Technically lead our streaming solutions and bring the team along.
• Work with streaming data — e.g. reading from Kafka topics and handling streaming ingestion pipelines.
• Support and migrate from the current Microsoft Data Stack toward the new Azure / Microsoft Fabric stack.
• Build and maintain data pipelines, integration, and CI/CD pipelines across the platform.
• Deliver insights that improve KPN's digital interaction and customer experience.

• Current stack: Microsoft Data Stack, Windows servers, SQL Server, OLAP (SSAS), Integration Server (SSIS), Network/File Services/Firewalls, Visual Studio for automation (DOS, PowerShell, C#).
• New stack: Azure Cloud, Microsoft Fabric, IDMC, streaming data, SQL, Airflow, CI/CD pipelines.
• Skills to technically lead streaming solutions and take the team along.
• Experienced with streaming data (e.g. Kafka topics, streaming ingestion pipelines).
• Extensive experience working within the MS Azure environment.
• Soft skills: analytical, attention to detail, open-minded, result-oriented, accountable, empathetic, team player; proactive and flexible.
• Excellent communication skills in written and spoken English; Dutch is a pre.
• HBO work and thinking level.
