IT Platform Strategy Manager

An IT Manager combining platform strategy, roadmap ownership, lifecycle management and operational resilience, acting as the technical right hand of IT leadership. You own the strategic management, resiliency, lifecycle governance and evolution of core IT platforms (Windows, VMware, Linux and Middleware) across enterprise on-premise and hybrid environments. You translate long-term vision into concrete, executable steps and guide large-scale platform evolution, modernization and lifecycle management within complex, regulated environments — bringing structure, clarity and direction while working closely with platform engineering, operations, security and architecture. The focus is platform governance, operational resilience, standardization and sustainable platform outcomes rather than application or customer-facing delivery.

• Define and drive platform strategy, lifecycle management and multi-year roadmaps for core infrastructure platforms.
• Act as trusted advisor and strategic counterpart to IT leadership, owning platform-related initiatives and decision-making.
• Lead platform modernization, migration and resiliency initiatives; drive lifecycle governance, release management and controlled, auditable platform changes.
• Ensure platform alignment with enterprise architecture, security, compliance and operational resilience standards.
• Bring together engineering, operations, security, architecture and vendors to deliver shared platform outcomes.
• Establish and maintain platform standards, governance models and reusable infrastructure patterns; drive standardization, rationalization and operational excellence.
• Define and track KPIs for platform stability, resiliency, efficiency, lifecycle status and performance; support adoption of automation, IaC and platform engineering.
• Translate complex technical and regulatory topics into clear recommendations and actionable roadmaps; strengthen platform management maturity.

• 10+ years in IT Platform Management, Infrastructure Management or similar enterprise infrastructure roles.
• Strong hands-on experience with enterprise on-premise platforms: Windows, VMware, Linux and Middleware.
• Proven experience defining platform strategy, lifecycle governance and multi-year infrastructure roadmaps.
• Large-scale platform transformations, migrations and modernization programs; strong grasp of operational resilience, lifecycle management, auditability, compliance and risk management.
• Experience working closely with IT leadership, platform engineering and infrastructure operations; knowledge of automation, IaC and platform standardization.
• Able to balance strategic platform direction with operational delivery; strong communicator and stakeholder manager at operational and leadership level; consultative and influential without formal authority.
