Process Operator B — (Oxygen Steel Factory 2)

For Tata Steel Oxygen Steel Factory 2 (Oxystaalfabriek 2). As a Process Operator B, you are the linchpin of the production process — monitoring it from the control room and intervening on the shop floor when needed. The factory runs 24/7 in shifts, with handovers between teams to keep the process flowing continuously.

• Conduct shift handovers with previous and next teams — discuss progress and flag any disturbances.
• Monitor the production process from the control room and adjust as needed, or take direct action on the shop floor.
• Work in shifts (the factory runs 24/7); coordinate maintenance work and set priorities with the team leader.
• Document progress information and shift reports so operational details carry over cleanly to the next shift.
• Identify and propose process improvements from the control room.
• Rotate across different workstations within the factory.
• Collaborate closely with fellow Operators, the Production Team Leader, and the Shift Supervisor.

• Minimum MBO 3 diploma (VAPRO B or higher).
• Demonstrable experience as an operator in an industrial environment.
• Strong safety mindset — safety is a core value.
• Hands-on attitude — comfortable with practical, hands-on work.
• Proactive — intervenes when needed without waiting for direction.
• Fluent in Dutch (mandatory — role is based in the Netherlands at Tata Steel and requires daily Dutch communication with the team).
